Sustainability & ESG Reporting

Sustainability Report

Mindful of the values that have always guided Anima’s actions, as well as the further initiatives undertaken in this area, in 2020 the non-financial reporting project was launched with the publication of the first voluntary Sustainability Report in line with the GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards. Over the years, the Report has been enriched with various elements, including the materiality matrix—developed following engagement with Stakeholders—and a limited assurance review by an independent audit firm.

Following the adoption of the new EU directive on sustainability reporting, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), transposed into Italian law by Legislative Decree 125/2024, in 2025 Anima published a voluntary Sustainability Report structured in accordance with the topical European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and referring to the financial year ended 31 December 2024.
The objective of the new standardized reporting model is to enhance the comparability and quality of information, while ensuring continuity with what has been published in previous years and strengthening the commitment to engage with Stakeholders transparently.

In 2025, Anima became subject to mandatory reporting under the CSRD; therefore, the Sustainability Report, prepared in accordance with the ESRS, was included in the dedicated section of the Annual Financial Report as at 31 December 2025, available at this link

In this section, you can also find the voluntary document “Beyond CSRD: our sustainability commitment in 2025”, which provides further insights into activities carried out in 2025, in addition to the Sustainability reports relating to previous financial years.

ESG Report

The operating companies of the ANIMA Group have the duty to operate in the interest of customers, proposing investments that are aimed at generating sustainable and long-term value.
Based on this fiduciary role, ANIMA believes that environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues associated with the issuers of financial instruments can influence the performance of managed portfolios over time, at the level of individual company, sector, region and asset class. The consideration of these aspects in the SGRs' investment decisions makes it possible to align the interest of investors with the broader objectives of the society.
